How do I know if my child needs orthodontic treatment?

Some signs that your child could benefit from orthodontic treatment include:

Early, late, or irregular loss of baby teeth
Difficulty chewing or biting
Mouth breathing
Thumb sucking after the age of five
Crowded, spaced or crooked teeth
Jaws that shift or click
Teeth that meet abnormally - or do not meet at all

When should my child first visit a Specialist Orthodontist?

The British Orthodontic Society recommends children have their first orthodontic consultation between the ages of seven and 11 while their teeth and jaws are still developing. At this age, Dr Hasnaini can help shape the growth of their smile - and prevent more lengthy treatment later on.
